Fall 2023 Rec Season Details

FALL 2023 SEASON DETAILS:
*Fall Games begin the weekend of Sept 15th/16th / Last games will be the weekend of Nov 10th/11th.  There will be no games the weekend of Oct 6th/7th for Fall break.
*Coaches will receive their team rosters the weekend of Sept 1st-2nd, and will begin contacting their players that weekend and into the following week about practices.  Please be patient as sometimes coaches are still waiting for their background checks to be approved.
*Our Coaches Meeting will be Saturday, Sept 9th.
*Our coaches are parent volunteers, and they determine the day(s), time, and location of their practice(s).
*The GYSA Park will be open for Rec practices beginning Monday, Sept 11th.  However, some coaches may begin holding practices at a different location the week before. 
*All Rec games will be played at the GYSA fields (SW corner of Greenfield and Germann)
*The Game Schedule will be posted on our website about 1-2 weeks before the season begins.

If you have not already, please purchase your child's uniform kit as soon as possible by clicking on the following link. Please note if the link does not work for you, you can just copy and paste the URL in your web browser.  Score Sports asks that you allow at least 10 - 14 business days for them to process your E-store order. However, sometimes orders get backed up if everyone waits until the last minute, so please order as soon as possible. Please note, other than the player's uniform kit (mandatory for games), the other items available for purchase are optional. If you do not know what division your child is in, you can find that information on your GYSA account.  If you have a child on the wait list, please wait to order their uniform until you know they have made it onto a team.

* Your child will also need shin guards, soccer socks (for practices), soccer cleats (not football or baseball), a soccer ball, and a water bottle for practices.  You can purchase those items anywhere you want to.
*U4-U8 divisions use a size 3 soccer ball, U9-U12 division use a size 4 soccer ball, U13/14 division and above use a size 5 soccer ball.
