Game one - barn storming effort results in a tie

Great game today!  Please tell your daughter that I am very proud of their game play.

I thought they came together nicely toward the end, especially considering that we only had one practice together.  They rallied and got up by a goal, but unfortunately I thought we were tied, so I continued to press instead of taking up a more defensive position.  Then they scored on us, actually tying the game.

As a few of you noticed, we should have had a penalty kick at the end of the game - just our shooter vs their goalie.  Instead, they were allowed to line up all their defenders in the goal box.  I should have challenged that, but wasn't sure of the call myself so I didn't. 

All the same - it was an exciting game.  I look forward to game two tomorrow.
